Pot Pourri Postcard Swap - January

Our monthly swap on Chocolate Baroque this year is "Pot Pourri Postcard".
Each month we are given a colour and a flower. We then make a postcard sized piece of art to swap. This month the colour is Caramel and the flower is Carnation.

For my postcard I have covered the card with Adirondack Butterscotch and DI Wild Honey. I have stamped a small carnation up the side with Butterscotch.  The large damask stamp is stamped with Wild Honey and quickly covered with bonding powder. I flicked most of the powder off before heating to give a patchy effect. I then used gilding flakes. Edged with DI Gathered Twigs
All stamps are Chocolate Baroque.

(As an after thought I stamped a little dragonfly at the top and put a ribbon around the bottom, but put them in the post without taking another photo!)

Jounal heART Week 3

Loving this face book group!
Week 3 is about using Gesso.
I applied the Gesso randomly onto the page using a credit card to get a patchy effect. Sprayed with Dylusions Dirty Martini, Polished Jade and Vibrant Turquoise. I love the difference in colour where the ink is on paper or Gesso.

Once it had dried I decided to go with an underwater theme - stamps are Chocolate Baroque Underwater

Thanks for looking

Journal heART 15

Hi All
I've joined in with Journal heART 15 group on Facebook. Although I have done a couple of pages in my journal in the past they still look like cards so I am hoping to branch out a bit!

Week 1
"create a little page about the no 1/the first time/ the start/ new challenge"

So for my offering I chose the start,
(the first page of my journal that has been knocking about for  a couple of years, too scared to spoil it!)

I inked the page with Distress Inks and Stains.  I then highlighted the raised areas with ink and gold wax and used stamps from Chocolate Baroque Woodland Dreams.

Week 2
" Birds with clipped wings can still Sing..."

and Bleeding Tissue Technique

This was a new technique to me.
I sprayed 1 layer of kitchen roll with Adirondack sprays and left to dry. I then die cut  the paper with the Tattered Florals die. I sprayed my journal page with water and placed my die cuts onto the wet page and waited for the colour to transfer. Stamped the Birdcage from Chocolate Baroque Curly Birds, the sentiment was from Pretty Birdcage.
Other stamps are from a free magazine set.

Looking forward to next weeks prompt!

Chocolate Baroque Challenge 6

This is the colour scheme for the Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge #6.

There is some beautiful inspiration to look at from the design team.

This week I have made a tag using Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters, Peacock Feathers and Seedless Preserves Distress Inks. Stamps are from Fantastic Florals and Butterfly Flourish, a little glitter to finish off.

Thanks for looking,
Sandra
